FAQ's
what is salsa macha?
Traditionally, salsa macha is made with a blend of dried chilies, garlic, oil, and sometimes nuts or seeds.
In Amores Chiles' version, we've added cranberries instead of nuts to add a unique sweetness to it. This approach reflects a modern take on tradition while celebrating diverse flavors.
is it very spicy?
Salsa macha has a moderate heat level, but it can vary depending on the type of chiles used. Ours has a balance between spice and flavor, so it adds a nice kick without being overwhelming.
how do I use salsa macha?
You can drizzle it over eggs, pizza, grilled meats, veggies, tacos or even use it as a dip. It’s also amazing on sandwiches, pasta or mixed into soups for an extra layer of flavor!
*Tip straight from Anna: Mix a little in your vinaigrette and pour on your salad!! life changing ;)
does it need to be refrigerated?
You can store salsa macha in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Refrigeration is optional but helps extend its freshness after opening. Just give it a stir before using!
*if you find that refrigeration soaks up the oil, just add your choice of oil and let it sit for a day before using :)
how long does this chili oil last?
Our salsa macha is best enjoyed within 3 to 6 months, but it can last up to a year if stored properly in a cool, dry place. Just make sure to give it a good stir before using. Trust, it stays delicious for a long time! :)
